In the Quran: Allah has created Eve from Adam’s rib

The Wind in Bible versus Quran (1)

This is the first article of the series:" The Wind in Bible versus Quran".

 

The Bible says that the Lord God has mouth, nostrils, feet and He was seen flying on the wings of the wind. The Noble Quran says that Naught is as Allah's likeness in attributes.  Any form, picture, thoughts that you put the Almighty Creator in it is absolutely wrong.

The Wind in the Bible (1)

 

In 2 Samuel 22:7-17, Kind David says:

In my distress I called to the LORD; I called out to my God. From his temple he heard my voice; my cry came to his ears. "The earth trembled and quaked, the foundations of the heavens shook; they trembled because he was angry. Smoke rose from his nostrils; consuming fire came from his mouth, burning coals blazed out of it.  He parted the heavens and came down; dark clouds were under his feet. He mounted the cherubim and flew; he soared on the wings of the wind.  He made darkness his canopy around him— the dark rain clouds of the sky. Out of the brightness of his presence bolts of lightning blazed forth.  The LORD thundered from heaven; the voice of the Most High resounded.  He shot arrows and scattered the enemies, bolts of lightning and routed them.  The valleys of the sea were exposed and the foundations of the earth laid bare at the rebuke of the LORD, at the blast of breath from his nostrils.  "He reached down from on high and took hold of me; he drew me out of deep waters.

Herein, there are some very important points:

1) The Bible describes the lord God, the Almighty Creator as He has mouth, nostrils, feet and He was seen flying on the wings of the wind.

2) The Bible describes the lord God, the Almighty Creator as a body which descends

3) The thunder is the voice of the lord God, the Almighty Creator.

4) The Lord God did and performed many movements and acts to save David.

5) The speed of the Lord God was that of the wind

6) The wind has wings!

All of these points are ABSOLUTELY denied in the Noble Quran because:

1) The Noble Quran says that Naught is as Allah's likeness in attributes.  Any form, picture, thoughts that you put the Almighty Creator in it is absolutely wrong.

2) The Almighty Creator is not a body

3) The thunder is not the voice of the Almighty Creator.

4) When the Almighty Creator decides upon a matter, when He wants to do anything, He only says to it ‘Be!’ and it is.  Hence, He could save David in fraction of a second if He willed.

5) The speed of the Lord God was that of the wind; for instance, does not He know the speed of the light?  However, Naught is as Allah's likeness in attributes. 

6) The wind has no wings!

7) The Great Prophet King David can not say that about the Almighty Creator simply because he knows better who Allah is.

The Wind in the Noble Quran (1)

In this article, the following four points will be discussed:

1) The Wind and the similitude of the righteous works of the disbelievers

 

Verse 14: 18 says:

 

QARIB: as for the likeness of those who disbelieve in their lord, their works are like ashes which a strong wind scatters on a stormy day; they are powerless over that they have earned; that is the far error.

SHAKIR: the parable of those who disbelieve in their lord: their actions are like ashes on which the wind blows hard on a stormy day; they shall not have power over any thing out of what they have earned; this is the great error

PICKTHAL: a similitude of those who disbelieve in their lord: their works are as ashes which the wind bloweth hard upon a stormy day. they have no control of aught that they have earned. that is the extreme failure.

YUSUFALI: the parable of those who reject their lord is that their works are as ashes, on which the wind blows furiously on a tempestuous day: no power have they over aught that they have earned: that is the straying far, far (from the goal).

 

The meanings of the verse:

 

In this verse, the Quran gives a similitude, the likeness, the description, of the righteous works of those who disbelieve in their Lord such as kindness [to kin] or an act of charity in the way that no benefit can be derived from them.

Allah says: the works of those who disbelieve in their Lord are as ashes which the wind blows hard upon a stormy day, one in which the winds blow violently, making them as scattered dust, over which none can have power. They have no control of aught that they have earned.

Allah says: they will not find the reward of their good works which were performed in their state of disbelief, just as one will not find ashes when the wind blows hard on it.  The disbelievers, have no power over anything that they have earned, [anything] that they had done in [their] life on earth, in other words, they shall find no reward for it, since this was never a precondition. That is extreme error, [extreme] perdition!

That is the extreme failure; the error which is far remote from the Truth or guidance.

2) The Wind and the likeness of the disbelievers who are Anti-Islam

 

Verse 3: 117 says:

 

QARIB: the wealth they spend in this worldly life is like a freezing wind that smites the harvest of a people who have wronged themselves and destroys it. Allah has not wronged them, but they wronged themselves.

SHAKIR: the likeness of what they spend in the life of this world is as the likeness of wind in which is intense cold (that) smites the seed produce of a people who haw done injustice to their souls and destroys it; and Allah is not unjust to them, but they are unjust to themselves

PICKTHAL: the likeness of that which they spend in this life of the world is as the likeness of a biting, icy wind which smiteth the harvest of a people who have wronged themselves, and devastateth it. Allah wronged them not, but they do wrong themselves.

YUSUFALI: what they spend in the life of this (material) world may be likened to a wind which brings a nipping frost: it strikes and destroys the harvest of men who have wronged their own souls: it is not Allah that hath wronged them, but they wrong themselves.

 

The meanings of the verse:

 

The likeness, the description, of what they, the disbelievers, expend in the life of this world, in the way of enmity towards the Prophet Muhammad or in the way of voluntary almsgiving or the like, is as the likeness of a wind wherein is a blast, of extreme hot or cold, that smote the tillage, the crops, of a people who have wronged themselves, through unbelief and disobedience, and destroyed it, so that they could not profit from it; so it is with what they expend, it perishes and they profit nothing from it. Also, they have wronged themselves by not giving what is due to Allah from it, (and devastated it) ruined it; likewise, idolatry destroys one's spending just as wind destroys the harvest.

Allah did not wrong them, when they lost what they expended, but they wronged themselves, through unbelief, which necessitated this loss.

In other words, Allah did not wrong them by thwarting the benefit of their harvest and spending, but they did wrong themselves through disbelief and withholding what is due to Allah from the harvest.

3) What if Allah wants to do anything?

 

Verse 36: 82 says:

 

QARIB: when he wills a thing, his command is to say to it 'be', and it is!

SHAKIR: his command, when he intends anything, is only to say to it: be, so it is

PICKTHAL: but his command, when he intendeth a thing, is only that he saith unto it: be! and it is.

YUSUFALI: verily, when he intends a thing, his command is, "be", and it is!

 

The meanings of the verse:

 

His command, His affair, when He wills a thing, that is, [when He will] to create something, or to do anything is just to say to it ‘Be’, and it is.

 

Also, Verse 40: 68 says

 

QARIB: it is he who gives life and makes to die, and when he decrees a thing, he says to it: 'be and it is!

SHAKIR: he it is who gives life and brings death, so when he decrees an affair, he only says to it: be, and it is

PICKTHAL: he it is who quickeneth and giveth death. when he ordaineth a thing, he saith unto it only: be! and it is.

YUSUFALI: it is he who gives life and death; and when he decides upon an affair, he says to it, "be", and it is.

 

The meanings of the verse:

 

Allah is He Who gives life and brings death; No one else can do that. So when He decides upon a matter, [when] He wants to bring something into existence, He only says to it ‘Be!’ and it is.  In other words, it comes into existence after He has willed it, that which is signified by the said words.

4) The Golden verse (faith-wise) of the Quran that describes the Almighty Creator

 

Verse42: 11 says

 

QARIB: the originator of the heavens and the earth, he has given you from yourselves, pairs, and also pairs of cattle, thereby multiplying you. there is nothing like him. he is the hearer, the seer.

SHAKIR: the originator of the heavens and the earth; he made mates for you from among yourselves, and mates of the cattle too, multiplying you thereby; nothing like a likeness of him; and he is the hearing, the seeing

PICKTHAL: the creator of the heavens and the earth. he hath made for you pairs of yourselves, and of the cattle also pairs, whereby he multiplieth you. naught is as his likeness; and he is the hearer, the seer.

YUSUFALI: (he is) the creator of the heavens and the earth: he has made for you pairs from among yourselves, and pairs among cattle: by this means does he multiply you: there is nothing whatever like unto him, and he is the one that hears and sees (all things).

 

The meanings of the verse:

 

He (Allah) is the Originator of the heavens and the earth, the One Who created them [without precedent]. He has made for you, from your own selves, pairs, when He created Eve from Adam’s rib, and [also] pairs, males and females, of the cattle and whereby He multiplies you through marriage. There is nothing like Him; there is no likeness of Him, exalted be He). He is the Hearer, of what you say, the Seer, of your works.  Naught is as His likeness in attributes, knowledge, power and providence etc.

The basic point of faith is that Naught is as your Almighty creator.

Since man is a creature which has Spirit that gives him like; and since Naught is as the likeness of your Creator, then the Almighty Creator has NO SPIRIT.

Hence, the Almighty Creator is not a body or material like us.  Any form, picture or thoughts that you put the Almighty Creator in it is absolutely wrong.

According to the Islamic Rule of Faith, if any one put the Almighty Creator in any form, picture or thoughts, he or she is Disbeliever and has No faith; and he will end up in the Hereafter as a dweller of the Eternal Fire.

This is in spite of what name(s) you are giving to your Almighty Creator e.g. Allah, Lord, God, Jehovah etc.

On the other hand, the vice versa is absolutely True!

Jefferson City Missouri

Jefferson City was chosen as Missouris state capital in 1821 and was named after Thomas Jefferson, the third president of the United States of America. Museums And Galleries In Amsterdam

Amsterdam is the nominal capital of the Netherlands, as well as its largest city. It sees approximately 3.5 million visitors per year and the number of attractions in the city explains why. Amsterdam is famous for its museums. Some of these are very well known, while others are not so well known, but also worth visiting.

Make sure that you visit Rijksmuseum that contains many artifacts, as well as paintings by artists such as Rembrandt. Stedelijk contains major collections of modern art dating from about 1880. It is a large peaceful hidden courtyard with an old English church (the Oude Kerk), as well as the oldest house in Amsterdam, dating back to 1475. There are many other hidden courtyards around the city. The Hortus Horticultural Gardens are a small, but pleasant oasis in the city.

Amsterdam has become known as the Venice of the North for all of its canals. You cannot visit Amsterdam without taking a boat cruise or a canal tour. This can take you along any of the main city center canals or some of the smaller ones. While on the canals, make sure to appreciate some of Amsterdam's 1280 bridges. The most famous of these is the Magere Brug which is a traditional double-leaf Dutch draw-bridge. Also an intrinsic part of Amsterdam is its windmills. You can view eight windmills right in the heart of city and trip to Holland would not be complete without visiting at least one of them.

There are a variety of accommodation options in Amsterdam. It contains five star luxury landmark hotels, such as the old historic Hotel Krasnapolsky and Amstel Hotel or the modern Amsterdam Hilton. Otherwise you can choose a cozy little hotel on the banks of one of the canals. As hotels are becoming more difficult to find, bed and breakfasts are becoming more popular. Holiday rental apartments are available throughout the city and these are an appropriate choice for those who are looking for more space and privacy or who enjoy self-catering. Youth hostels are a good option for those on a budget, especially students and backpackers. If you are visiting during the summer months, you may decide to stay at a camping ground. Pigeons and doves constitute the family Columbidae within the order Columbiformes, which include some 300 species of near passerine birds. In general parlance the terms "dove" and "pigeon" are used somewhat interchangeably. In ornithological practice, there is a tendency for "dove" to be used for smaller species and "pigeon" for larger ones, but this is in no way consistently applied, and historically the common names for these birds involve a great deal of variation between the term "dove" and "pigeon." This family occurs worldwide, but the greatest variety is in the Indomalaya and Australasia ecozones. The young doves and pigeons are called "squabs."

Pigeons and doves are stout-bodied birds with short necks and short slender bills with a fleshy cere. The species commonly referred to just as the "pigeon" is the feral Rock Pigeon, common in many cities.

Doves and pigeons build relatively flimsy nests from sticks and other debris, which may be placed in trees, on ledges, or on the ground, depending on species. They lay one or two eggs, and both parents care for the young, which leave the nest after 7 to 28 days. Doves feed on seeds, fruit and plants. Unlike most other birds the doves and pigeons produce "crop milk," which is secreted by a sloughing of fluid-filled cells from the lining of the crop. Both the sexes produce this highly nutritious substance to feed to the young.

Pigeons and doves exhibit considerable variations in size. The largest species are the crowned pigeons of New Guinea, which are nearly turkey-sized, at a weight of 2-4 kilograms (4.4-8.8 lbs.) The smallest are the New World ground-doves of the genus Columbina, which are the same size as a House Sparrow and weigh as little as 22 grams. With a total length of more than 50 centimeters (19 in) and weight of almost a kilo (2 lb), the largest arboreal species is the Marquesan Imperial-pigeon, while the Dwarf Fruit-dove, which may measure as little as 13 centimeters (5.1 in), has a marginally smaller total length than any other species from this family. Smaller species tend to be known as doves, while larger species as pigeons, but there is no taxonomic basis for distinguishing between the two.

What Were They Thinking?

In Tennessee handguns will be allowed in bars and restaurants as of July 14, 2009. However, the existing ban on consuming alcohol while carrying a handgun remains; and bar and restaurant owners have the right to ban weapons from their establishments. Although 37 other states have similar laws, Tennessee has approximately 218,000 handgun permits and 278 were revoked in 2008 and nearly 1,200 have been suspended since 2005. Permits are revoked after felony convictions and suspended when there are pending criminal charges or when there are court orders for protection. It seems Tennessee is going to test its own “big bang” theory.

In Canada Molson Beer, a division of Molson Coors, is planning to standardize its free beer policy in 2009 for its Canadian retirees. Presently the free beer costs Molson $900,000 a year. Molson retirees living in Newfoundland were notified by letter their monthly allotment will be reduced from 6 dozen bottles a month to zero over the next 5 years. The retirees are upset there was no discussion about this; and unions have filed grievances in Montreal and Vancouver, where allotments will be less. Although Molson says it’s still providing a very generous benefits package, 2,400 company retirees are crying in their beer.

In Tel Aviv a thoughtful daughter decided to surprise her mother by replacing her mother’s old mattress with a new one and taking the old one out to the trash. Needless to say, her mother was surprised – almost to the point of fainting. It seems for years she had been secretly stuffing her life savings into that mattress. Now a frantic search is underway in Israel for the valuable mattress. To the daughter the mattress may have looked lumpy and uncomfortable, but to her mother it felt like a million dollars.

Around the world the down economy is inspiring people to perform community service – even fight crime. According to “Superheroes Anonymous”, a New-York-based Web site dedicated to organizing and making alliances with superhero groups, there are presently 250 to 300 real-life superheroes worldwide. A laid-off computer technician became Mr. Ravenblade after preventing a woman’s mugging and rape in Walla Walla, Washington. A superhero named Geist patrols Rochester, Minnesota with a group of like-minded, similarly costumed colleagues. Dark Guardian, a 24-year-old, patrols Brooklyn at night and Chaim “Life”Lazaros is in New York performing homeless outreach. Instead of super powers, these superheroes are armed with good intentions.

Analysing the Fantasy Football Impact from the 2009 Draft

2008 represented a tremendous year for rookies in terms of fantasy football.  I know because I rode 2 of them (Chris Johnson and Matt Forte) to a league championship.  What will the draft class of 2009 have in store for fantasy owners come this fall?  Personally, I don't believe that this years class is talented as last years but time will tell.  The following represent my preliminary takes regarding the 2009 draft class:

--Matthew Stafford QB (DET)

What kind of pro QB will Stafford be?  Will he be like Matt Ryan and Joe Flacco or will his fate be more similar to Tim Couch or Joey Harrington?  Fantasy owners likely won’t have a chance to find out next season.  Although Lions coach Jim Schwartz said he will keep an open mind in the battle for the top spot on the depth chart, more than likely Daunte Culpepper will be the starting QB for Detroit when they open the season against the Saints in the Superdome September, 13th. That scenario doesn't allow Stafford much of a chance to make an impact in fantasy circles.  Moreover, it’s hard to envision a scenario where he comes out and has any value as a rookie. Ryan and Flacco were both fifth-year seniors coming out of college and possessed much more maturity heading into the NFL than the underclassman Stafford does.  Stafford’s value will be limited to keeper and dynasty leagues on fantasy Draft Day.

--Knowshon Moreno RB (DEN)

Searching for 2009's top fantasy rookie? Well, look no further than Moreno.  Moreno is by far the most talented running back in the 2009 class and I expect him to come right in and become the starter for the Broncos.  Although, the Broncos did add several veteran RB's this past off season none of them have nearly the same talent as Moreno.  I see Moreno as a No. 3  fantasy runner in 2009 with potential for more. However,  because of the depth the Broncos have at the position, the former Bulldog is more likely to be seen as a viable flex starter in most drafts.  Obviously, he’s also a tremendous option in keeper and dynasty leagues.

--Chris "Beanie" Wells RB (AZ)

The Arizona Cardinals took the  Ohio State power back with their first round selection, setting up an interesting depth chart battle this summer. Most pundits believe that Wells is the 2nd best RB prospect in the draft behind Moreno.  Furthermore, Wells is a definite upgrade over Tim Hightower and I expect Wells to emerge atop the team’s depth chart as a rookie leaving Hightower to serve as third-down back for the defending NFC champions.  Whoever gets the goal line carries will obviously hold more fantasy value than the other but right now I see Wells as the better option in seasonal and keeper leagues. Both Wells and Moreno will have difficulty reaching the standards set by Johnson, Forte and Slaton from a year ago.

--Michael Crabtree WR (SF)

The Raiders loss is the 49ers gain.  After the Raiders passed on Crabtree you know SF would eat him right up and they did.  Crabtree was hailed as the top wideout in the draft, and he will undoubtedly have a chance to start as a rookie under coach Mike Singletary.  The Niners are looking to be will  a run-first team this year, however, so fantasy owners need to keep that in mind heading into 2009. Still, he’ll still be worth a middle- to late-round pick in seasonal fantasy drafts and is quite capable of putting up some nice stats as a rookie.

--Percy Harvin WR/KR (MIN)

Percy Harvin still landed in the first round despite some "character" issues  and will become a serious play maker for the Minnesota Vikings.  Can you imagine the Vikings lining up Harvin and Peterson in the Wildcat?  Harvin has immense speed and skills as a runner and receiver and I fully expect him to compete with Sidney Rice for the number 2 WR alongside Bernard Berrian.  Due to his immense potential and explosiveness, Harvin will warrant a late-round flier in most fantasy drafts and surely will do some damage at some point for the Vikings.  Moreover, Harvin instantly makes the Vikings DST even better than they were last year.

--Jeremy Maclin WR (PHI)

The Eagles finally gave Donovan McNabb some weapons.  Maclin has immense speed and can stretch defenses in the vertical pass attack.  Furthermore, he was an absolute steal where the Eagles got him. After watching an Eagle rookie WR make an impact last year there is nothing to say Maclin cannot do the same.  Look for Maclin to be a late round pick this summer and I fully expect him to make some big plays for McNabb and the Eagles this fall.

--Eugene Monroe and Eben Britton OT (JAX)

Sure, offensive linemen aren’t drafted in fantasy football, but that doesn’t make them any less important to your team’s success.  Injuries absolutely decimated the Jaguars offensive line last season and was the predominant reason the team failed to make the playoffs after a very successful 2007 season.  The Jags want to get back to Jag football  so it was no surprise to see the team land both OT Eugene Monroe in Round 1 AND Eben Britton in round 2.  The acquisition of both Monroe and Britton will only make Maurice Jones Drew more attractive in fantasy drafts.  Look for MJD to be a top 5 pick this summer.

--Jason Smith OT (STL)

The addition Smith is a real positive for the value of RB Steven Jackson.  Now it is up to Jackson to stay healthy and produce the numbers that fantasy owners have been yearning from him for years. With a new defensive minded head coach the Rams want to run the ball and feature Jackson in their backfield, and Smith’s presence will be huge in making the ground attack effective.  Furthermore, the Rams also added FB Mike Karney this off season.  As I mentioned it is now all up to Jackson to achieve his potential.  He will surely go in the first round again this year.  Time will tell if he is worth it.

--Mark Sanchez QB (NYJ)

Mark Sanchez was the hottest name in the 2009 class in the days before the draft and after the Jets pursuit of Brett Favre last year it was no surprise that the Jets traded two draft picks and three players to move up and select him. Alth0ugh Sanchez has started a mere 16 games at the collegiate level, he could very well wind up starting for new coach Rex Ryan when the Jets open their season.  In fact,  Ryan has told the media that Sanchez will in fact compete for the top spot with Kellen Clemens. Personally, I don't see Sanchez making any noise this year as a rookie and would avoid him on draft day except in keeper and dynasty leagues.

--Kenny Britt WR (TN)

The Titans have been desperate for WR's in recent years and hope they have found their number 1 with Kenny Britt out of Rutgers.  Coach Jeff Fisher told the media that he wants to get Britt onto the field as soon as possible, so don't be shocked to see him starting on opening day.  The Titans also signed former Steeler Nate Washington this off season so it could be difficult for Britt to make a significant fantasy impact in what will remain a run-based offense with Chris Johnson and Lendale White.  He is definitely a player to watch in the preseason, but more than likely won’t have more than late-round value in seasonal formats.

--Darius Heyward-Bey WR (OAK)

Being a huge Raider fan I was upset but not at all shocked at this move.  It is clear at this point that Al Davis values pure speed more than any other attribute.  Was Jerry Rice fast?  Is Larry Fitzgerald a burner?  The answer to both of these questions is no but one was the best there ever was and one is the best presently. However, with no clear-cut No. 1 wide receiver on the Raiders roster, Heyward-Bey will warrant late-round consideration in seasonal fantasy drafts and will have ample balls thrown to him this fall.  Time will tell how this all works out and Heyward-Bey and Crabtree will be forever linked.

--Donald Brown RB (IND)

Donald Brown will immediately be thrown into the mix with the Colts and that spells good news for fantasy owners who draft him this summer.  I have never really been sold on Joseph Addai and I don't think the Colts are either.  Although, new Head Coach Jim Caldwell told the media that Addai will remain the team’s No. 1 back,  owners should definitely expect a committee situation to evolve in Indy. Addai should receive more carries, but any kind of platoon hurts his value in both seasonal and keeper leagues. Addai is no more than a No. 2 back in fantasy circles. As for Brown, he’ll be worth a middle- to late-round selection and is a must for anyone drafting Addai.

In summary, it will be interesting to see what kind of impact these and the entire 2009 rookie class will have on the 2009 NFL season.  They have large shoes to fill on account of last year.
